What's New in OneView Hospital Quality 5.0.21.29

Acmeware is pleased to announce that our OneView Hospital Quality package version 5.0.21.29 is available. Version 5.0.21.29 adds new functionality and support for eReporting for the 2021 reporting period electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) including the latest eCQM specifications from CMS. CMS529 Hybrid Hospital-Wide Readmission measure will be available once testing is complete.

OneView 5.0.21.29 includes updates to reflect the 2021 Reporting Period eCQM Specifications. This update includes updates to nomenclature mapping codes, value sets from the NLM Value Set Authority Center and updated clinical best practices guidance from MEDITECH.

OneView 5.0.21.29 includes built-in support for ALL MEDITECH platforms including MAGIC, CS, 6.0 and Expanse.


Reminder: Report subscriptions will need to be updated to 2021 date range parameters.


Here's a summary of what's new in this update:


Quality Programs: OneView Hospital Quality (HQ) continues to support Medicare and Medicaid Promoting Interoperability CQM and Objective Measure reporting and attestation. In addition, OneView HQ supports the eCQM Reporting to both the CMS Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) and the Joint Commission ORYX programs. Workflows and mapping associated with the 2021 reporting period requirements will need to be reviewed and incorporated to ensure that these items are accurately configured for this new release.

Submission Wizard: The ability to create electronic submission for 2021 has been disabled and will be available in an upcoming release. Workflows associated with the 2021 reporting period requirements will need to be reviewed and OneView output data validated to ensure that these items are accurately configured for this new release. As a quality reporting submission vendor, Acmeware has a fiduciary responsibility with clinical quality reporting to CMS. Due to Acmeware standards and these significant changes, we have disabled the lock functionality in this release, but it will be reinstated, as appropriate.



New Features and Enhancements: (for all platforms unless specified)


Electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs)

  • Hospital Quality eCQM measure engine was upgraded to support 2021 specifications.


QRDA:

  • QRDA service was updated to support 2021 eCQM specifications, CMS 2021 Implementation Guide specifications.


Reports:

  • CQM Summary Report:
    • Added two new icons to the Measure column -- the top icon links to the 2021 measure specifications and the bottom icon links to the 2021 measure flow diagrams
    • Added the CMS measure number in the Measure column

  • PI Summary Report: Updated measure specification links to the 2021 specification documents
  • Value Set Measure Summary Report: Removed Mapping tables from the report that no longer being populated or used


Manage Dictionaries:

  • Updated the CQM and PI dictionaries to now display in alphabetical order.


Fixes: (for all platforms unless specified)


Electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs)

  • STK (all): Made adjustments to correct the timing of comfort measures that were previously falling out of the measure.
  • STK-6: Fixed a bug where only LDLs starting before the encounter were counting towards the measure. LDLs which happen during the encounter are now included.


Manage Dictionaries:

  • Clinical Quality Measures: Mapping Setup: Dictionary name for the payer interface map dictionary will now display as Payer - Insurance (Interface Map).
