What's New in OneView Hospital Quality 4.1.8

CMS has released the Final Rule modification for Meaningful Use in 2015 through 2017. This release includes Meaningful Use Final Rule modifications that require all hospitals and providers to attest to a single set of objective measures, Modified Stage 2 Objectives. One major policy provision includes changing the reporting periods to calendar year from fiscal year. This release includes updates to OneView to support the reporting periods rule change and Modified Stage 2 Objectives.
New Features and Enhancements:
Hospital Quality (Version 4.1.8):
The OneView Hospital Quality Package includes all of the components necessary to generate EHR Meaningful Use (MU) Modified Stage 2 Objectives and Clinical Quality Measure (CQM) necessary to achieve attestation. Electronic submission for the following three programs has been added: EHR Meaningful Use Program, Inpatient Quality Reporting Program (IQR) and The Joint Commission ORYX® Program.

- Objective Measures:
- We have developed new architecture for the Modified Stage 2 Objective Measures resulting in increased compilation performance.
- Clinical Quality Measures:
- Improved performance of compilation time and reduced overall space consumption.
- Expanded areas of data collection and increased accuracy of various collection components.
- We have developed new architecture for CQMs for electronic submission of IQR and other submission programs using the eCQM Library specification.
- STK-6 Denominator: Lab Tests not done - took out requirement for LDL-c with a result >= 100 as it should have been checking to just look for any test for LDL-c.
- Integration:
- OneView now includes multiple approaches for integrating Direct Messaging for Transition of Care CCD reporting between MEDITECH and third party Health Information Services Provider vendors. Standards compliant connectivity is achieved via: Web service APIs, SMTP/POP3 and IMAP.
